About Flashback
Flashback is a Telegram bot that tells you when the other person deletes or edits a message in a private chat you chose, sends you the original and keeps an encrypted archive that opens in a Mini App inside Telegram.
How it works
You connect the bot yourself through Telegram’s Chat Automation and choose the private chats it can see; when the other person deletes or edits a message in one of them, the bot sends you the saved original. It works only from the moment you connect it: messages deleted before that cannot be recovered.
Privacy principles
The archive is kept for 7, 30 or 60 days and then deleted automatically. No AI reads your chats: searching the archive is plain text matching.
- Encrypted archive. The archive is encrypted on the server. It is not end-to-end encryption.
- Only your chats. The bot sees only the private chats you chose yourself.
- You can erase your data. You can delete all your data with the /delete_my_data command.
- No password or code. The bot never asks for your login code or password: you connect it in Telegram itself.

Flashback is provided by its operator, based in the Slovak Republic. The terms of use say how to reach the operator.
